Oblique Imagery

Aerial photographs or images captured at an angle between 0° and 90° from the nadir, providing three-dimensional perspective views of terrain and structures.

Offshore Survey

A specialized surveying technique used to measure and map underwater and coastal areas for navigation, resource exploration, and infrastructure development.

optical plummet

An optical instrument used in surveying to accurately project a point vertically upward or downward from a measuring rod or leveling staff.

Orthometric Height

The vertical distance from a point on the Earth's surface to the geoid, measured along the direction of gravity.

orthophoto

An orthophoto is an aerial or satellite image that has been geometrically corrected to remove distortions caused by terrain relief and camera tilt, allowing it to be used as an accurate map.

Overlap

The area where two or more survey measurements, photographs, or map sections cover the same ground or feature.
