1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SurveyingPedia (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of Content
Content on SurveyingPedia (articles, glossary, company profiles, tools, forum posts, geodetic benchmarks) is provided for informational and professional purposes. You may reference and link to it, but may not scrape or republish without attribution. Automated scraping or content redistribution at scale is prohibited.
3. User Accounts
To use features like the forum, chat, software tools, and benchmark submission you must create a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
4. User-Generated Content
When you post topics, reply in the forum, submit chat messages, add benchmarks or feedback, you grant SurveyingPedia a non-exclusive license to display that content. You retain ownership of your content. You must have rights to everything you post; do not upload copyrighted material or personal data you are not authorized to share.
5. Community Conduct
Respect other members. No harassment, hate speech, spam, promotion schemes, or illegal content. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension. Forum moderators (per country) may edit or remove content that breaks these rules.
6. Free Software Tools
DraftScope (DXF viewer), CloudScope (point cloud viewer), PlotScope (plot plan generator), and the benchmark map are provided free of charge with an account. They run in your browser and we do not store or receive your uploaded files. They are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy for critical decisions — always verify computed values with professional methods before use in engineering, legal or permit submissions.
7. Geodetic Data Disclaimer
BenchMarkMap data is crowdsourced. Coordinates, heights, and condition reports are user-submitted and not authoritative. For legal, engineering, or regulatory purposes, always consult the original source (national geodetic agency, survey authority) for certified values.
8. Intellectual Property
The SurveyingPedia name, logo, design and compiled article database are property of SurveyingPedia. Individual company logos and brand names referenced in company profiles remain property of their respective owners.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made based on content accuracy or tool output.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or to withdraw the Service at any time. You may close your account at any time from your profile settings.
11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where SurveyingPedia is operated.
