BeiDou (北斗) is China's independently developed, operated, and maintained satellite navigation system. BeiDou operates on multiple frequency bands, including B1, B2, and B3, enabling dual and triple-frequency positioning for enhanced accuracy. The system provides two services: an open service offering meter-level accuracy available globally, and an authorized service providing decimeter to centimeter-level precision for military and authorized civilian applications.

Professional surveying equipment utilizing BeiDou signals achieves positioning accuracy of 1-2 centimeters for static measurements and 5-10 centimeters for real-time kinematic (RTK) operations.
