Data Collector

A person or electronic device that gathers measurement information at survey sites using specialized instruments and techniques.

datalogger

datum

A reference surface or point used as the basis for measuring positions, elevations, and distances in surveying and mapping.

Datum Transformation

The mathematical process of converting coordinate values from one geodetic datum to another to ensure positional accuracy across different surveying and mapping systems.

deed

A legal document that transfers ownership of real property from one party to another.

deformation monitoring

The systematic measurement and analysis of changes in the shape, position, or dimensions of structures, natural features, or ground surfaces over time.

dem

Dem is a fundamental unit of measurement in surveying that represents one-tenth of a meter or 10 centimeters.

Differential Leveling

A surveying method that determines height differences between points by measuring vertical distances using a level instrument and leveling rod.

Direct Georeferencing

The process of determining the precise geographic coordinates and orientation of survey data at the moment of collection without requiring ground control points.

Drone Autopilot

An autonomous flight control system that enables unmanned aerial vehicles to navigate and perform tasks without continuous human intervention.

DSM
